The Orphanage is a film that tells of the journey of life of someone named Laura, in 1975 in Spain Laura who at that time was submitted to his foster parents for adoption. A few years later Laura became an adult to return to her orphanage where she used to live with her beloved husband, Carlos and her 7-year-old adopted son Simon. Laura is planning to reopen the orphanage to help children with disabilities. When he was there, Simon confessed that he saw a boy named Thomas. And there Simon and Tomas became close friends. Simon always draws Tomas in the shape of a man wearing a mask.
A few days later a social worker named Benigna Escobeda told Laura that Simon was positively infected with HIV disease. Then based on the information that Benigna had submitted, Laura asked her to leave. Some time later, he finds Benigna in an orphanage, and then Simon teaches Laura a game but when they play accidentally he mentions about Simon's adoption file. Simon was angry and said that tomas, his new friend said that Luara was not the real mother of Simon. And moreover Simon knew that he was about to die.
